Donating €20,000 to Barnardos

We’re delighted to announce that we’re working towards donating €20,000 to Barnardos from the Docklands Fun Run.  20% of your entry fee goes directly to Barnardos, which should amount to €20,000 with the 5,000 entries we’re expecting (we’re close to 2,000 already).

We expect to be donating €20,000 to Barnardos from the Docklands Fun Run.

Helping Children in our locality

Barnardos have a project next to Connelly Station (Buckingham street project), so your donations will help children in the Docklands area.

Education is a right and not a privilege

Barnardos believes the key to breaking the cycle of poverty is through education. Barnardos is passionate about ensuring that education is a right, not a privilege. It is a right that can make all the difference to a child. Education can give children the best start possible in life and set them on a path to opportunity and hope for a bright future.

Ireland’s leading independent children’s charity.

In 2011 Barnardos worked with over 6,000 children and families, providing direct services, advice and support through more than 40 centres, based in some of the most over-looked communities in Ireland.
